We are the Tops!!!We are pleased to announce that the Trenowin Herd of Red Ruby Devons have been judged the winners of the 2025 Devon Cattle Breeders' Society Herd Competition. We came second overall in 2023 (no competition took place in 2024) but we were one better this year. The Society's President Elect, Graham Summerhayes judged us to be Best Medium Sized Herd (20 - 40 cows), Best Herd in Cornwall and Best Herd overall. Also he felt that Trenowin Parlourmaid was the Best Cow In Milk that he had seen overall.
So now it is operation clean-up as we are hosting a herd visit on 21st September, where members of the Society get to have a walk around the cattle and enjoy some refreshments.
We look forward to welcoming as many people as possible and hope for a sunny day so that the beautiful red, mossie coats of our cattle can glisen in the sunshine. Posted 5 Sep 2025 |
